My ASRoma bias aside, here our my year-end predictions to what promises to be an exciting Serie A 2013-14 season. Enjoy!
1. NAPOLI
No Cavani, no problem. Hamsik & Higuaín lead a successful Scudetto winning campaign.
2. JUVENTUS
Tevez makes Manchester City look foolish as he leads Serie A in goals.
3. FIORENTINA
Gomez joins a suddenly stacked offense and heads Montella’s team to a top three finish.
4. AS ROMA
Led by Strootman & De Rossi, passing paves (finally) a return to glory for the Giallorossi.
5. AC MILAN
Super Mario & El Shaarawy tandem up to give the Rossoneri a Europa league qualifying finish.
6. INTER MILAN
The Nerazzurri improve on last year under the guidance of Mazzarri.
7. UDINESE
The eternally young Di Natale once again leads the attack for the ever dangerous Bianconeri.
8. CATANIA
Peruzzi leads a revamped, defense-fueled style as his team matches last year’s top 8 rank.
9. SS LAZIO
The suspension of captain Mauri doom the Biancocelesti as they settle for a top 10 finish.
10. PARMA
Speaking of never aging, Cassano leads I Crociati to a top 10 result!
11. SASSUOLO
Zaza keeps the Neroverdi in Italy‘s top flight for at least one season since duh, ceramics rule!
12. SAMPDORIA
Always a tough out, just ask Juventus, the old sailors will weather the loss of Icardi just fine.
13. CHIEVO VERONA
If they stop beating themselves with yellow and red cards, they could surprise.
14. ATALANTA
Forever destined to thrive in the middle of the Serie A but it sure beats relegation.
15. CAGLIARI
Losing Nainggolan would complicate things but the club have enough to say in the Serie A.
16. TORINO
A strong attack led by Cerci & Immobile should be just enough to keep them up.
17. HELLAS VERONA
Toni (barely) keeps his newly promoted squad in the Serie A with still in-form finishing.
18. BOLOGNA
Unless they improve defensively on last year, Basket City is likely to be in relegated.
19. GENOA
A lucky disaster of a squad from last year. This year they lost Ogbonna. Luck has run out.
20. LIVORNO
Third time is a charm for a squad that is as unexciting as it is weak. #relegation
